WRW Update: NEW Filter Advertisers By Category

Looking to gain an even better understanding of what your competition is doing with online and mobile advertising?

We’ve made it simpler than ever with our NEW Category Advertisers and Category Publishers tabs.

Having Category tabs gives you the power to now see your competition’s competition! How you might ask? By simply displaying all other relevant advertisers that occupy the same vertical as the advertiser in question.

For example, Ford belongs to the “Autos and Vehicles/ Makes and Models” category, therefore all other advertisers from the “Autos and Vehicles/ Makes and Models” category will be viewable from this tab.

We’re holding a contest!

Think you know the ins and outs of WhatRunsWhere? We want to hear your best tips for using our platform – what metrics give you the most information? How do you use that information for your media buys? What features allow you to get an edge on your competitors?

Let us know by submitting your best WRWtips and you could win a FREE one-month subscription!

To submit your tips, simply:

  1. Tweet it with the hashtag #WRWtips, or
  2. Post it on our Facebook page.

Entries are due Monday, October 14 at 5PM EST.

The best entries will then be selected by the WhatRunsWhere team and put to a vote. Voting will take place on Facebook and Twitter between Tuesday, October 15 and Friday, October 18 at 3PM EST. Points will be tallied as follows:

  • 1 Facebook like = 1 point
  • 1 Facebook share = 5 points (max 1 share per person per day will be counted)
  • 1 Retweet = 1 point (max 1 retweet per person per day will be counted)

Did you know our company was created almost by accident?

Yup!  Co-founders Mike Cojanu and Max Teitlebaum were both in their teens and running their own digital advertising businesses when they built this tool to help them with media buying and staying ahead of their competition.  Since those good ol’ startup days of Mike coding on a laundry bin in his living room, WRW has grown into a global business with offices in San Diego and Toronto.
